Our Owners
With over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Matt Loder Sr. of The Original Crabby Bill's Family Brands brings his passion and wealth of knowledge of the seafood world to Cabanas Coastal Grill. Just as his parents, Crabby Bill and Dolores Loder, did. The Crabby Bill's Family Brands are centered on family, great seafood, and only the best service. Joined by Steve Page of Page Hotels & Resorts, LLC, our owners know hospitality. Steve and Matt are dedicated to showing tourists and locals alike a great time, so don't be afraid to say "hello!".
A Local Legend
Cabanas Coastal Grill is operated by the very same family that brought you The Original Crabby Bill's. The Original Crabby Bill's was founded by local legend Crabby Bill Loder. The adventure started in New Jersey, where Bill Loder and his wife Dolores were beginning a life and a family together. The pair had been in the seafood business since early after their marriage in 1954. They sold blue crabs on the side of the road and owned a small seafood restaurant together. With a start like that, you know the Loder family is serious about seafood!
What started as a small operation in Indian Rocks Beach, FL has grown to be the Crabby Bill’s you know today. From several locations, including restaurants in Redington Shores (1975), Madeira Beach, Bay Pines, and Tyrone, and many boats, crab traps, and refrigeration trucks later, we set roots in April of 1983 in Indian Rocks Beach. In February of 1987, Crabby Bill's dream to own a business that could support his family and be passed down to his kids became a reality. That’s how local legend was born. Crabby Bill's has continued to grow over the years.
